Maison Tavel
Maison Tavel is the oldest private residence in Geneva, with cellars dating back to the 11th century. Rebuilt after the fire of 1334 as a fortified palace by the noble Tavel family, it has housed the Museum of Urban History and Daily Life since 1986. The highlight is a massive 800 kg scale model of mid-19th century Geneva - the largest historical relief in Switzerland. Entry is free to the permanent exhibition.
