Loro Parque is a zoo and theme park in Puerto de la Cruz in northern Tenerife, one of the most famous tourist attractions in the Canary Islands. It houses the world's largest parrot collection with over 350 subspecies, the world's largest penguinarium (Planet Penguin) replicating Antarctic conditions, massive aquariums, and exhibitions of dolphins, sea lions, orcas, gorillas, and crocodiles. Multiple live shows run throughout the day. The park positions itself as a conservation and education center. A full visit requires five to six hours.
