A dramatic gorge named after the ship Loch Ard which sank here in 1878, claiming 52 lives. Only two young passengers survived, swimming to this sheltered beach. Today, visitors can explore multiple trails that tell the shipwreck story, and enjoy stunning views of impressive rock formations and towering cliffs.
