Lisbon Cathedral
Lisbon Cathedral (Sé de Lisboa) is the city's oldest church, built in 1147 after Afonso Henriques recaptured the city from the Moors. The fortress-like cathedral blends Romanesque and Gothic styles and has survived multiple earthquakes. The cloister houses Roman and archaeological remains, and the baptismal font inside is said to have christened Saint Anthony of Padua, who was born in Lisbon in 1195.
