Lavaux Vineyards
Stunning terraced vineyards on the shores of Lake Geneva, a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 2007. These 800-hectare vineyards form Switzerland's largest contiguous wine-growing region. The terraces were established in the 11th century by Cistercian monks and have been cultivated for nearly a thousand years. The region produces excellent white wines, especially Chasselas. Breathtaking views of the lake, Alps, and medieval villages make it perfect for hiking and wine tasting. Open cellars event on May 23-24, 2026 offers direct meetings with winemakers.
