Larnaca Salt Lake
Larnaca Salt Lake is the second-largest salt lake in Cyprus, consisting of four interconnected lakes covering a total area of approximately 2.2 square kilometers. The site is world-famous for hosting thousands of Greater Flamingos during winter months (November-March), with numbers reaching up to 20,000 birds. In summer the lake dries up, transforming into a shimmering white salt flat that was historically harvested for salt. A walking trail around the lake offers stunning views and leads to the nearby Hala Sultan Tekke mosque, creating a perfect combination of nature and culture.
