Lamar Valley
Lamar Valley is known as "America's Serengeti" for its stunning wildlife concentration. This vast grassland is the best place to spot wolves, bison, grizzly bears, elk, and pronghorn antelope. Wolves were reintroduced here in 1995 and now thrive in the valley. Dawn and dusk are prime viewing times when animals are most active. Bring binoculars or a spotting scope. The valley road is one of the few year-round accessible routes in Yellowstone.
