La Bodeguita del Medio is a legendary bar and restaurant in the heart of Old Havana, considered the birthplace of the original Cuban mojito cocktail. Opened in 1942, it quickly became a gathering place for artists, writers, and musicians. Its walls are covered with thousands of signatures and messages from famous and unknown visitors from around the world. Hemingway allegedly wrote on its wall the famous phrase 'My mojito in La Bodeguita, my daiquiri in El Floridita'. The bar also serves traditional Cuban cuisine with daily live music performances.
