Kunsthaus Graz (Friendly Alien)
The Kunsthaus Graz, affectionately known as the 'Friendly Alien', is a contemporary art museum and architectural landmark designed by Sir Peter Cook and Colin Fournier. Opened in 2003 when Graz was the European Capital of Culture, the organic blob-shaped building provides a stunning contrast to the historic surroundings. The museum hosts multidisciplinary exhibitions of modern and contemporary art from the 1960s to the present, including architecture, design, new media, and photography. The building's 'BIX' facade features LED light installations that transform the museum into a giant screen at night.
