Kourion Archaeological Site
Kourion is one of the most important ancient city-kingdoms of Cyprus, perched on a dramatic cliff overlooking the Mediterranean Sea. The famous Roman theater, dating from the 2nd century AD and seating approximately 3,500 spectators, is still used for summer performances thanks to its stunning acoustics. The site also includes breathtaking mosaics in the House of Eustolios and the House of Achilles, public baths, an early Christian basilica, and an agora. The panoramic views from the theater to the sea below are absolutely unforgettable and make this one of the most scenic archaeological sites in the Mediterranean.
