Kornati Islands
The Kornati Islands are a national park comprising 89 islands, islets, and reefs forming the largest uninhabited archipelago in the Mediterranean. Accessible as a day trip from Zadar, they feature stunning barren landscapes, deep turquoise waters, and dramatic vertical cliff walls plunging into the sea. Facilities are extremely limited with only a few seasonal taverns at Mala Proversa and Magrovica bays and summer supply boats. The easiest way to visit is by booking an organized full-day boat excursion from Zadar departing from Borik Marina, costing approximately EUR 50-65 per person including transport, park entrance, lunch, and guide. Private boats pay vessel-based entrance fees starting at EUR 32 online or EUR 40 at the park for boats up to 11 meters. Bring your own water and provisions as obtaining supplies is very difficult
