Khao Takiab (Monkey Mountain)
Khao Takiab, also known as Monkey Mountain or Chopstick Hill, is a prominent landmark at the southern end of Hua Hin Beach. At the top of the hill sits a Buddhist temple (Wat Khao Takiab) featuring a large golden standing Buddha statue, plus a colorful shrine dedicated to Guan Yin (Phra Mae Kwan Im). The entire area is populated by wild macaques who have become bold around visitors - keep food and drinks hidden! The climb offers panoramic views of Hua Hin Beach and the surrounding coastline.
