Kek Lok Si Temple
Kek Lok Si (Temple of Supreme Bliss) is the largest Buddhist temple in Southeast Asia, located at the foot of Penang Hill. Built since 1890, it features a seven-story pagoda combining Chinese, Thai, and Burmese styles — Chinese base, Thai middle, Burmese top. A 36-meter-tall bronze Guan Yin statue dominates the complex. During Lunar New Year, the temple is illuminated by thousands of lanterns, creating a magical scene.
