Kato Paphos Archaeological Park
Kato Paphos Archaeological Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, houses stunning remains of ancient Paphos which was the capital of Cyprus during Roman times. The highlights are the exceptional Roman mosaics in the Houses of Dionysos, Aion, Theseus, and Orpheus, considered among the finest in the Eastern Mediterranean. These intricate floor mosaics depict mythological scenes with remarkable artistry and preservation. The park also includes a small amphitheater (Odeon), the Crusader fortress of Saranta Kolones, the ancient Agora, and a Roman lighthouse.
