Kasbah of the Udayas
The Kasbah of the Udayas is a historic fortified citadel overlooking the Atlantic Ocean and the mouth of the Bou Regreg River. Built in the 12th century by the Almohads, it features narrow winding streets and whitewashed houses with blue accents in Andalusian style. Its main gate Bab Oudaia is one of the finest Almohad gates. The kasbah houses an enchanting Andalusian garden and the historic Cafe Maure overlooking the river. An ideal spot for photography, strolling, and spectacular sunsets.
