Kanmangafuchi Abyss

Kanmangafuchi is a natural gorge formed approximately 7,000 years ago from Mount Nantai's lava flows. About 70 Jizo statues line the pathway - the guardian deity of travelers and children. They're called 'Bake Jizo' (Ghost Jizo) because it's said to be impossible to count them twice and get the same number.
