Kaliningrad Zoo
Kaliningrad Zoo is one of the three oldest zoos in Russia, founded in 1896 as the Konigsberg Tiergarten. Set in spacious grounds with mature trees near the city center, it houses animals from all continents. The original German-era architecture from its founding remains beautifully preserved. The zoo survived WWII bombing and carries a unique history of continuity from Konigsberg to Kaliningrad. Facilities include an aquarium, terrarium, children's playgrounds, cafes, and souvenir shops. It is one of the largest zoos in Russia and an excellent family destination combining nature, history, and education in a single visit
