Kaaba
The Kaaba is the holiest site in Islam, a cube-shaped building located at the center of Masjid al-Haram. Standing approximately 15 meters tall, it is draped in black silk embroidered with golden Quranic verses called the Kiswah. Muslims worldwide face the Kaaba during their five daily prayers. Its eastern corner houses the sacred Black Stone (Hajar al-Aswad). Pilgrims circumambulate it seven times in the Tawaf ritual during Hajj and Umrah. The structure has been rebuilt several times throughout history but remains on its original foundation.
