Johnston Canyon
Johnston Canyon is the most popular hiking trail in Banff National Park, featuring suspended wooden catwalks along canyon walls and stunning waterfalls. The well-maintained trail leads through dense evergreen forests to the Lower Falls (1.1 km) and Upper Falls (2.7 km). For adventurers, the trail extends to the colorful Ink Pots mineral springs (5.8 km). In winter, the waterfalls freeze creating magical ice formations.
