Jet d'Eau
The Jet d'Eau is Geneva's most iconic symbol, shooting water 140 meters high at 200 km/h. Originally built in 1886 as a safety valve for hydraulic pressure, it has become a world-renowned tourist attraction. Visible from almost everywhere in the city, it operates daily from morning until evening and is illuminated at night during summer. Best photo spots include Quai Gustave-Ador and Jardin Anglais across the lake.
