Jardin d'Essais Botaniques
The Jardin d'Essais Botaniques is Rabat's largest public garden, spanning 17 hectares. Created by French landscape architect Jean-Claude Nicolas Forestier between 1914 and 1919, it reopened in 2013 after comprehensive renovation. It houses over 650 plant species from around the world, including tropical plants, desert species, and a large arboretum. Features include aquatic gardens, Andalusian-inspired sections, and shaded walkways. An ideal place to escape the city bustle and relax amid nature.
