The Japanese Garden 'Garden on the Rhine' is located in the peaceful northwestern corner of Nordpark. Designed in 1975 as a gift from the Japanese community to Düsseldorf by architects Iwaki and Shojiro Ishiguro. Spanning 5,000 square meters, it features a pond with Japanese koi, small waterfalls and carefully trimmed pine trees. Every element carries deep symbolism in Far Eastern philosophy.
