Jabal Thawr
Jabal Thawr is a 760-meter mountain located south of Mecca. It is famous for the Thawr Cave where Prophet Muhammad and his companion Abu Bakr hid for three nights during the Hijra to Medina, escaping from the Quraysh tribe. The climb is more difficult than Jabal al-Nour, taking 2-3 hours. The cave entrance is narrow and requires crouching to enter. The site is mentioned in the Quran in Surah At-Tawba. A spider's web and dove's nest miraculously concealed the cave entrance from pursuers.
