Instituto Tomie Ohtake
Instituto Tomie Ohtake is a vibrant art space dedicated to contemporary art and design. Named after the influential Japanese-Brazilian artist Tomie Ohtake (1913-2015), a pioneer of informal abstractionism. The building features striking architecture with a curved green, pink, and purple exterior designed by Ruy Ohtake, the artist's son. The institute hosts major international exhibitions and offers free admission to most exhibitions, making it one of São Paulo's most accessible cultural institutions. The space also features a design store and cafe.
