Île Saint-Louis
Île Saint-Louis is a charming small island in the heart of Paris on the Seine, preserving its 17th-century aristocratic character. This tranquil island next to Île de la Cité is famous for its historic mansions, narrow streets, and the legendary Berthillon ice cream, crafting luxury ice cream since 1954. The main street Rue Saint-Louis en l'Île is lined with artisan shops, galleries, and upscale restaurants. Six bridges connect the island, offering magnificent views of Notre-Dame. The original Berthillon parlor closes in July-August.
