Historical Merchants' Hall
The Historical Merchants' Hall is one of Freiburg's most striking buildings with its distinctive crimson facade and rich ornamentation. Built between 1520-1532 as a customs and trade center. The facade features four arcades, a balcony, and sculptures by Hans Sixt von Staufen depicting Habsburg rulers. Inside are magnificent halls including the Kaisersaal (Emperor's Hall) and Rokokosaal (Rococo Room). Today used for concerts and cultural events.
