Heart Reef is a naturally formed heart-shaped coral formation located within Hardy Reef in the Great Barrier Reef Marine Park. Discovered in 1975 by pilot John Ramsden, it spans approximately 17 meters in diameter. To protect this unique formation, swimming and diving around it are prohibited - it can only be viewed from the air via scenic flights by seaplane or helicopter. Located 78km from Airlie Beach, it is one of the most romantic natural wonders in the world.
