Hamarikyu Gardens
Hamarikyu Gardens is a unique green oasis nestled between Shiodome's modern skyscrapers and Tokyo Bay. This historic Edo-period garden once belonged to the ruling Tokugawa family and is the only garden in Tokyo that uses seawater in its pond, with tides affecting the water level. The elegant teahouse appearing to float on the water is the highlight, where you can enjoy traditional matcha tea with stunning views. The garden is accessible by boat from Asakusa via the Sumida River, offering a scenic alternative to train travel.
