Blue Grotto
The Blue Grotto is a legendary sea cave on Capri island where water glows brilliant turquoise blue due to sunlight refracting through an underwater opening. Visitors enter in small rowboats through a narrow one-meter-high entrance, lying flat to pass through. Emperor Tiberius used this cave as his private swimming pool. The unique light phenomenon creates an ethereal underwater glow that has captivated visitors for centuries.
