Best Time to Visit
Sunset is best (arrive 1-2 hours early for parking). Evening after sunset — telescope viewing. Weekdays less crowded. Weekends parking overflows, use shuttle.
How to Get There
By car via Vermont Canyon Rd (parking fills quickly). Free DASH shuttle from Vermont/Sunset metro on weekends. Walk from Fern Dell (2.5 km uphill) or Greek Theatre.
What to Expect
Free space exhibits, telescopes, Foucault pendulum. Paid planetarium shows about stars. Terrace with views of LA and Hollywood. Great sunset spot. Evening stargazing through telescopes is free.
Best Photo Spot
Terrace by domes — LA panorama at sunset. Hollywood Sign view from east side. At night — city lights. Lawn in front for building photos.
