Green Market
The Green Market or Pazar is Split's traditional open-air market located just outside the eastern wall of Diocletian's Palace. Operating daily from dawn until early afternoon, it sells fresh fruits, vegetables, herbs, flowers, dried figs, lavender, olive oil, local honey, cheese, cured meats, and handmade souvenirs. It is the best place to buy seasonal Dalmatian produce directly from local farmers. The vibrant atmosphere, bright colors, and fresh aromas make it a worthwhile destination for photography and cultural immersion even for those not planning to buy. Prices are generally unmarked and vendors will quote per kilogram. Most stalls are cash-only with ATMs available nearby
