Graslei & Korenlei
Graslei and Korenlei are Ghent's most beautiful quays, facing each other across the River Leie. Graslei is lined with historic buildings from the 12th to 17th centuries that once housed merchant guilds: the Corn House, the Toll House, and the Grain Storehouse. In medieval times, this was the commercial heart where ships loaded with grain and herbs docked. Today, cafes and restaurants with waterside terraces make it perfect for relaxing. In the evening, the facades are enchantingly illuminated. Enjoy a boat tour or simply relax on the riverbanks with locals. This spot offers the most iconic view of Ghent.
