Goa Gajah (Elephant Cave)
Goa Gajah or Elephant Cave is a 9th-century archaeological site located near Ubud. The cave entrance is adorned with a menacing demonic face carving, possibly representing Bhoma or an earth deity. Inside the cave are statues of Ganesha and three lingams. The complex is surrounded by ritual bathing pools with angel-shaped fountains and lush tropical gardens. Despite its small size, the spiritual atmosphere and ancient architecture make it an essential visit for anyone exploring Bali's Hindu heritage.
