GNRation
GNRation is one of the leading Portuguese institutions working at the intersection of contemporary music, art, and technology. Housed in a former military police headquarters that won the national prize for urban rehabilitation, it opened in 2012 when Braga served as the European Youth Capital. The venue includes a blackbox for performances, two galleries for exhibitions, and artist residency spaces. GNRation is a major reason Braga was designated a UNESCO Creative City of Media Arts.
