Geneva Botanical Garden
The Geneva Botanical Garden is a 28-hectare green oasis on the lakefront. Founded in 1817 by botanist Augustin-Pyramus de Candolle, it houses over 16,000 plant species including an Alpine garden, historic rose garden, and tropical greenhouses. A small animal park with fallow deer and birds makes it ideal for families. It also holds one of the world's largest herbariums with 6 million specimens. Entry is free.
