Gazi Husrev-beg Mosque

Gazi Husrev-beg Mosque is the largest historical mosque in Bosnia and Herzegovina, completed in 1530 during Ottoman rule. Designed by architect Mimar Sinan, it can hold 1,500 worshippers under its nine domes. The mosque complex includes the adjacent Clock Tower (Sahat Kula), madrasah, and library. A masterpiece of Ottoman architecture in the heart of Bascarsija.

The 30-meter Sahat Kula shows lunar calendar time - when hands show 12 o'clock, it marks sunset and prayer time. Only clock in world still set this way.
