Garden Tomb
The Garden Tomb is an alternative site proposed as the location of Jesus Christ's crucifixion and burial, located outside the Old City walls near Damascus Gate. Discovered in the 19th century and managed by a Protestant association, the site features peaceful beautiful gardens, an ancient rock-cut tomb, and a skull-shaped rock formation believed by some to be Golgotha. It provides a quieter, more contemplative alternative to the crowded Church of the Holy Sepulchre.
