Friedland Gate Museum
Friedland Gate is a 19th-century city gate transformed into a unique museum telling the story of old Konigsberg. Housed in the elegant neo-Gothic gate structure, it features interactive exhibitions including the Knight's Hall with replica armor and weapons, the 'Civilization Begins with Sewerage' exhibit about Konigsberg's infrastructure, and a 15-minute multimedia show with archival photos from 1908-1913. A virtual reality experience lets you walk through old Konigsberg's streets. In summer the atmospheric 'Echo of War' exhibition opens in a historic underground bomb shelter beneath the gate, featuring WWII-era photographs and sound effects. One of Kaliningrad's most immersive and creative museum experiences
