Fort St. Angelo
Fort St. Angelo is one of Europe's greatest historic fortifications, guarding the entrance to the Grand Harbour since medieval times. It served as the headquarters of the Knights of St. John and the command centre during the Great Siege of 1565, where the fortress withstood repeated Ottoman attacks. Visitors can explore historic rooms, the chapel, and towers offering panoramic views of the Grand Harbour and Valletta. The fort is managed by Heritage Malta.
