One of New York's most recognizable skyscrapers, built in 1902. The triangular shape resembles a clothes iron (flatiron), hence the name. It was one of the city's first skyscrapers and caused a sensation with its unusual shape. Now contains residential apartments after 2019-2023 renovation.

Best photo time is golden hour before sunset or early morning without crowds. The building is beautifully lit at night. Looks good any season, but especially autumn with yellow trees in the park.
