Fitzroy Island
Fitzroy Island is an untouched natural paradise 45 minutes by boat from Cairns. Unlike the more developed Green Island, Fitzroy retains its wild character with dense rainforest and diverse hiking trails. The Nudey Beach Track leads to one of Australia's most beautiful beaches. Enjoy snorkeling on surrounding coral reefs or hike to the Summit Lighthouse for stunning panoramic views of the Great Barrier Reef. The island is 97% National Park with pristine coral beaches and fringing reef. A turtle rehabilitation center allows visitors to see rescued sea turtles.
