Eyre Square
Eyre Square is the beating heart of Galway city, a public park and social hub dating back to the 18th century. The square features the historic Browne Doorway fountain, the Kennedy Memorial, and remnants of the old city walls. Surrounded by shops, restaurants, and hotels, it serves as the perfect starting point for exploring the city. During the Galway International Arts Festival, the square transforms into a center for celebrations and musical performances.
