European Solidarity Centre
The European Solidarity Centre is a modern museum and cultural center dedicated to the history of the Polish Solidarity movement and the fall of communism in Europe. The striking building clad in rust-colored panels is located next to the historic Gdansk Shipyard where the movement began in 1980. The interactive permanent exhibition tells the story of the struggle for freedom across 7 halls with multimedia, live testimonies, and original documents. The building features a library, conference halls, and a rooftop terrace with free panoramic views. An inspiring experience connecting past to present, honoring the peaceful fight for democracy that changed the course of European history
