The most visited monument on the Europe-Asia border, located 17 km from Yekaterinburg on the Novo-Moskovsky highway. Designed by architect Konstantin Grunberg, it combines the letters 'E' and 'A' symbolizing Europe and Asia. The foundation contains stones from Cape Roca in Portugal, the westernmost point of Europe, and Cape Dezhnev in Chukotka, the easternmost point of Russia. There is a large parking area, cafe, and souvenir shop on site. Sverdlovsk Oblast has 34 obelisks marking the continental border. Reachable in 25-30 minutes by car from the city center
