Latvian Ethnographic Open-Air Museum
The Latvian Ethnographic Open-Air Museum is one of the oldest and largest of its kind in Europe. Founded in 1924 on the shores of Lake Jugla, it covers 87 hectares and contains 118 historic buildings representing traditional Latvian folk architecture from all regions of the country. Regular folk craft demonstrations and seasonal festivals are held. Located about 25 minutes by bus from the city center on bus number 1 from Brivibas Street.
