Eel Garden is a unique dive and snorkel site located north of Dahab Lighthouse. It's home to Dahab's largest colony of garden eels - hundreds of eels swaying in the current that disappear into sand when approached. The dive begins on a shallow coral plateau and descends to around 25 meters where the eels live. Also spot blue-spotted stingrays, triggerfish, scorpionfish, and occasional turtles. Best in calm conditions as currents can be strong on windy days.
Access via small road from promenade. Snorkeling only possible in calm conditions due to currents. Best to dive early morning for calmer waters. Dive centers can arrange shore entry dives

The best technique is to find a good position and stay still - the eels will gradually reappear as they become comfortable
