Stunning chalk plateau with cave churches carved into white cliffs 150 km south of Voronezh. The 17th-century Divnogorsky Monastery features churches inside chalk pillars called 'divy' (wonders). Panoramic steppe views and unique geology.
From Voronezh: commuter trains to Divnogorskaya station (about 2 hours), then walk about 1 km to the reserve entrance. In summer there is a weekend tourist train. By car: via M4 highway, exit to Liski, then follow signs to Divnogorye (about 150 km from Voronezh). Free parking available. Organized tours depart from Voronezh and Liski.
Open only May 1 - Nov 10. Cave excursions every 2 hours (10:00-16:00). Territory entry free. Caves are 8°C - bring warm clothes! Best May-September in dry weather
