Dhayah Fort is the only remaining hilltop fort in the UAE, built in the early 19th century. Perched on a hill overlooking a palm oasis and the Arabian Gulf, it was the last site of resistance against the British in 1819. Listed on UNESCO World Heritage Tentative List.
