Dachau Concentration Camp Memorial
Dachau Concentration Camp Memorial is located on the grounds of the first Nazi concentration camp, opened in 1933. It commemorates over 41,000 people killed here and documents the horrors of the Nazi regime. The site includes permanent exhibitions, reconstructed barracks, the crematorium, and memorials. Entry is free. Guided tours in English daily at 11am and 1pm. Audio guides available. Allow 2-3 hours for a respectful visit. The memorial is 16km from Munich, reachable by S2 train.
