Curieuse Island is a special nature reserve off Praslin's coast, home to approximately 200 Aldabra giant tortoises that roam freely. The island is one of only two places in the world where coco de mer palms grow naturally. Highlights include a walk through mangrove forests, the tortoise breeding centre, a historic leper colony site, and beautiful beaches. Most visitors arrive on day tours from Praslin that include lunch and snorkeling. Landing fee Rs150-300 per person.
